Really good. But its a remake! Don't care. But it doesn't really add anything new, its just corporate repackaging! Don't care But Sean will hate it and may punch you in the balls! Don't. Care.
Some remakes are ok, some remakes are terrible. Planet of the apes was horrid-horrid-awful-bad. I liked the Dawn of the dead remake because i like zombies. I liked the Texas chainsaw massacre because it had a chainsaw. I'm really easy to please.
I like THHE remake because i like it when unfortunate things happen to other people. I am a viscious, angry, selfish, mean person. Not only is a small family beset by horrible mutant cannibals, but they are beset by horrible mutant cannibals in ther new mexico desert where its 100 degrees. YES. How can you not love that? "Oh no i am so miserable there is no airconditioning! how can things get worse! Oh, look a bunch of hideous nuclear freaks has killed a family memember!"
The best part is, as you watch this family go from terrified to resolute, you realize, there is a viscious, angry, selfish, mean person in all of us. The kind of person who would not hesitate to bludgeon someone to death with a louisville slugger. Road rage, baby. That's what I am all about. And that is what the movie is all about. Except for the whole people eating thing, there really isn't much difference in the cruelty of the mutants and the cruelty of the family. And don't give me that but they started it, it was self defense blah blah bullshit. They made a guy explode and they enjoyed it
I enjoy a good movie about what a terrible person i am. My soul screams out for blood! and THHE delivers. So, if you are willing to admit you are terrible, go see this film. I'm not sayin i wish horrible freak mutants on anyone, but, i mean, if its going to happen, i'd like there to be popcorn.
